- Raśl will star in Stephen Sondheim's Assassins as Zangara. Previews are scheduled to begin November 1 at the Music Box Theatre with an opening date of November 29. Raśl's final performance in tick, tick...BOOM! will be Sunday, October 14.
- September 18, 2001
- Variety reported last week that as a result of the tragic events of September 11, the Broadway production of Assassins -- in which Raśl was to star as Zangara -- will be postponed indefinitely. Raśl's final performance in tick, tick...BOOM! is still scheduled for October 14.

- Raśl and tick, tick...BOOM! co-star Molly Ringwald are on the cover of the September 21 issue of NEXT magazine. NEXT is a free publication available in bars and clubs around Manhattan. - Raśl has been confirmed to join the cast of Broadway's Cabaret as the Emcee. No word yet on his start date.
- October 4, 2001
- The Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that Raśl's debut performance as the Emcee in Cabaret will be Friday, October 26. See the Projects page for information on how to purchase tickets.
- October 6, 2001
- Playbill Online reports that Raśl will play "Bud" in a workshop of Urban Cowboy October 22 thru November 11 at the Westbeth Center. See the Press section for the full article.

- Raśl will be the guest at Seth's Chatterbox Thursday, October 25 at 6:00 p.m. Seth's Chatterbox is a live interview held at the Don't Tell Mama nightclub and hosted by Seth Rudetsky. Don't Tell Mama is located at 343 West 46th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues. Cover charge is a $10 donation benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and there is a two-drink minimum. Call 212-757-0788 after 4:00 p.m. for reservations.

- Site news: www.raulesparza.com will soon be the home of Raśl Esparza's official website. Webhosting will be provided by your original webmaster and owner of www.raulesparza.com, Becky Barton, and site design will be done by Six Two Productions. Watch this space; the official site launch is expected in early December.

- Playbill Online reports that the Urban Cowboy workshop, in which Raśl will play the role of "Bud", has been delayed and will now take place December 6 and 7. The workshop is not open to the public.

- The video of Raśl's appearance on Seth's Chatterbox on October 25 can be ordered from Chatterbox host Seth Rudetsky. All proceeds from the sale of this video will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Please note that the seller is only able to sell videos locally in New York, and orders must be picked up in person at the Don't Tell Mama nightclub on Thursdays before or after Seth's Chatterbox only.
